Asian American InterVarsity (AAIV)

We are Asian American InterVarsity (AAIV) and we love to explore Jesus in community. Through studying scripture, hearing stories from our friends and praying together we hope to be transformed by the love of Jesus. We hope that everyone from the large Asian American diaspora can feel at home and welcomed in our community.

Black Campus Ministries (BCM)

Black Campus Ministries (BCM) at the University of Washington is a space for black and brown students at the UW to come and share in life and grow in faith together. We are here to be a safe space for black and brown students to feel seen and known by God and to be a place of empowerment and encouragement as ya'll navigate life in college. We love to study scripture together, eat good food, hang out, and just be a place where you can just come and be yourself.

Asian American Chapter

Hi my name is Jessica! I was born and raised in Bellevue, WA and graduated from the University of Washington in 2016. The Lord called me to spend three years serving at Oregon State University and now I'm back at my alma mater serving with the Asian American chapter. I love coffee, podcasts, TV, and cross stitching! I love InterVarsity because it’s where my view of Jesus grew from simply being a personal savior to a God that cares about the entire world and asks me to care as well. Through learning to study scripture on my own for all its worth, I was compelled by a Jesus that goes to the margins.

Asian American Chapter

Hi my name is Wyietah! I grew up south of Seattle in Lacey, WA and graduated from the University of Washington in 2018 with a Communications degree. I love meeting new people, am always down for fun with my friends whether thats just going on a long drive, playing video games, watching movies, eating good food, and playing basketball (before I tore my ACL, twice). I'm also a big fan of Avatar the Last Airbender! My IV experience helped me discover what it means to own my faith and that its a journey and a process that God partners with me in. It was in IV that I learned more about the intersection of faith and justice and has empowered me to want to learn more and grow more in that area. It was through IV that I've been able to be more deeply connected to my ethnic identity as a second generation Khmer (Cambodian) American. I am also grateful for my IV experience in that I was able to grow and learn within a welcoming and loving community that walked with me through college through so many highs and lows. I see now that to experience the full Kingdom of God means to be in community and in relationship with others that come from all different walks of life.
